โฆ Synopsis
A resin conditioning/regeneration procedure is described which markedly enhances separation factors in partition chromatography of sugars on a commercially available anion-exchange resin. A mixture of 18 monosaccharides is well separated in less than 3 hr. A single ethanol-water solution is used as the eluent and no column temperature changes are necessary during a run. Sugars are located with a noncorrosive reagent.
