Physica A 166 (1990) 11 Eqs. (3.3.6) on p. 39 and (3.3.10) on p. 40, both of which pertain to the finite-size residual for antiperiodic boundary conditions, have factors of E displayed which should not be present. Thus (3.3.6) should read: F I ~(L)=FI+I(2L)-F~'~(L), and (3.3.10) should read: Howev

Results are presented for the effect of periodic boundary conditions on predictions made using the grand canonical ensemble for systems of limited size. A Monte Carlo study of a realistic gas-solid adsorption model and an exact study of the Tonks gas both show that it is necessary for the minor dime

We have studied the ballistic and damped dynamics of ΓΏnite size cooperative molecular motors. We study the e ect of ΓΏnite size on average quantities such as sliding velocity, as well as the statistics of uctuations in these quantities. We observed stalling for the over damped case.
