β¦ Synopsis
In this paper, we present an implementation of a TMN system by Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute (ETRI) for public ATM networks deployed in Korea, and analyze its performance. We present a performance analysis model which models the message flow between the manager and the agents in our TMN system by an open queueing network. Using analysis results, we determine the appropriate numbers of agents which can be accommodated by one manager for several situations in our TMN system. These results are confirmed by measuring the system, and used in the design of the TMN system for public ATM networks in Korea.
