✦ Synopsis
The concept of impedance matching of an infinite microstrip patch array antenna o¨er wide scan angles by means of a coupling circuit in the feed network is in¨estigated. Computed ¨alues of input impedance as a function of scan angles were used as input to an optimization program, which minimized the reflection coefficient magnitude o¨er a range of scan angles. The output of the program is the line lengths and coupling susceptances in the E-plane and H-plane. Preliminary studies show that it is possible to realize such coupling networks.
