The present work investigates the influence of gas nitriding pressure on the modification of surface properties of ASTM F138 stainless steel. Nitrided surfaces were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Conversion Electron MΓΆssbauer Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy and Vickers microhardness.
