## Abstract ## Background Parathyroid hormone–related protein (PTHrP) is mainly responsible for hypercalcemia in squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs). ## Methods We retrospectively checked the appearance of hypercalcemia among 33 patients who died with head and neck SCC. Serum concentrations of C‐ter
