## Abstract Acrosin was detected by immunofluorescence in the spermatozoan acrosomes of artiodactyla (bull, ram and boar), perissodactyla (horse), carnivora (dog and cat), lagomorpha (rabbit) and primates (human) using antiโbovine acrosin immunoglobulins. The results indicate that the acrosin molec

โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
Acrosin, a trypsinโlike proteinase, was localized in the acrosome of methanolโfixed bovine spermatozoa by the indirect immunofluorescent technique. Antiโacrosin immunoglobulin was obtained from a rabbit immunized with highly purified bovine acrosin. The results of agaroseโgel immunodiffusion analyses indicated that although the antibody was specific for the acrosomal enzyme, it crossโreacted with ovine acrosin.
