This year the traditional Informal Meeting was celebrating its 20th birthday. The conference was held on 12-16 May 2002 in Fiera di Primiero, a beautiful village in the Italian Dolomites. As usual, the conference was jointly organized by the mass spectrometry groups of the Consiglio Nazionale della Ricerche, Istituto di Scienze e Tecnologie Molecolari and the Chemical Research Center of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
