This collertion of rcports presents the findings and conclusions obtained by t,he GESAMP Group since the Action Plan was adopted a t the 1972 Vnited Sations Conference on the Human Environment in Stockholm. The Working Group was established in 1978 with the objective of providing a periodically updated review of the stat.e of pollution in the world's oceans.
