✦ Synopsis
The results of the application of digital image processing of tracer particle motions recorded on stereoscopic motion picture films are discussed. Effects of threshold level on particle identification, data on location and velocity error analyses of the particles and results of the particle tracking and matching are investigated.
lNTRODUCTION In this second paper, various aspects of the image processing technique, as described in Part I [l], will be discussed. These include effects of threshold level on Particle identification, the results of the particle tracking and particle velocity measurements, and various error analyses. Further, the results of image processing of motion pictures are sensitive, to some degree, upon the criteria used in the analysis. This will also be discussed.
