Arthur Rimbaud (1854-1891): On altı yaşında başlayan şairlik hayatı sadece beş yıl sürdü. Ancak bu süre içinde yüzlerce yıllık geleneksel şiir dilini, yapısını, söylemini ve imge düzenini kökten değiştirdi. Ona göre şair duyuların düzenini bilinçle sonsuzca bozan ve bu yolla başkaları için bilinmez olanları gören bir kâhindi. Cehennemde Bir Mevsim ve Illuminations ile dünya edebiyatında şiirin zirvesine yerleşen Rimbaud 1875’den sonra şiir yazmadı.
Can Alkor (1936): Şair ve çevirmen. Şiirlerini Güneşdil adlı kitabında topladı. Şiirlerindeki özenli dili ve mükemmeliyetçi tutumuyla Rimbaud, Valéry, Rilke ve Nietzsche’den çeviriler yaptı.
