The proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Numerical Methods in Industrial Forming Processes held in Gothenburg in August 1986 are given in this book. It has been produced with commendable speed and this has clearly been achieved by direct reproduction of the authors' typescripts. The result is a book containing a wide variety of typefaces but the text is always legible and the diagrams are clear. The conference was clearly truly international and the book contains papers by authors from more than 10 different countries. All the papers are written in English, but in a few cases they could
