โœฆ Synopsis

The problem of identifying multiple outliers in a univariate normal sample is approached via successive testing using P-values rather than tabled critical values. Various simulation approaches towards calculation and approximation of the P-values are introduced. Apart from being computationally intensive, the resulting procedures are easy to apply as is illustrated by two examples.
