β¦ Synopsis
We have measured the differential cross sections for the production of rt, K+, K", K*', 4, p, A and their corresponding antiparticles in separate ramples of flavor-tagged 2' --* light-flavor (uii, dd; or si), 2' -+ CE and 2' + bi events. Clear flavor dependences are observed, and the results are compared with the predictions of three fragmentation models. We have also performed a direct measurement of A,, the parity-violating coupling of the 2' to strange quarks, by measuring the left-right-forward-backward production asymmetry in polar angle of the tagged 8 quark. Our preliminary result is A, = 0.82 f O.lO(std.) f O.O'l(ryst.).
