Fiona Prescott was always daddy's little girl until the last day of her junior year when everything falls apart. Her dad leaves her mom for a much younger woman causing her family to fall apart and to make matters worse her boyfriend of two years decides to call it quits. She leans on the only guy she can trust her older brother Luke.
In comes Cooper Kinley, reformed 'bad boy' and the new kid in town. Cooper and his dad moved to Prescott for a fresh start after losing his mom to cancer a few months earlier. The first time he sees Fiona he's determined to find out who the sad beautiful girl is and vowed not to give up until she's his but she's determined to fight him every step of the way. When he finally thinks he's gotten through the walls she's put up and that she's finally giving him a chance she pulls away. In effort to win her back he tries to make her jealous by dating Riley but his plan backfires when she gets a boyfriend of her own. Little does she know her new boyfriend is part of the reason that Cooper's dad decided to move. Things get ugly when Cooper's forced to confront his past in order to save Fiona.
