โฆ Synopsis
The dynamical behaviour of a circularly symmetric annular Josephson junction is investigated numerically. When an a.c. external magnetic field I H = IHlsin flt is applied, the I Hl -V characteristics for three different feeding current I values and the I -V characteristics for three different I H1 values are obtained. There are some noise-like singularities in the I H1 -V curves which are due to the entire chaotic behaviour of the junction. All these curves show the step-like current-voltage singularities, the Fiske steps, which present the resonant motions of the fluxons in the junction.
The critical current Ie in I -V curves is decreased as the amplitude of the external field, I H1 is increased.
