โฆ Synopsis
Hysteresis in AC magnetic susceptibility of bulk granular YBa2Cu303, superconductors was invest:gated as a function of DC magnetic field and temperature. The pronounced irreversible behavior in ~.he tow field field regime allows a new approach to determine the onset of magnetic field penetration and an averaged lower critical field of the sor, ercovducting grains. A complete field-screening state in the intergranular region was observed for the first time. The temperature dependence of the lower critical field in both the intra-and intergranular regions is consistent with the BCS pairing mechanism wit.~ a modified gap parameter 2A(0) = 7.0 kTo

In YBa2CusOr samples of different shape time dependent magnetization currents were induced at 4.2K by the application of rapid magnetic field changes. This contactless method allows the study of the intergrain and intragrain currents in the resistive flux flow state.
