Abstract

Three case histories are described of type 1 (insulin‐dependent) diabetic patients. All suffered cardiac arrests during hypoglycaemic episodes. Mechanisms relating the cardiac arrests to the hypoglycaemia are discussed. The dangers of hypoglycamia to the heart are emphasised.
