Abstract

The hyperfine magnetic fields acting at As nuclei in ferromagnetic Fe, Co, and Ni hosts were measured using perturbed angular correlation technique. Radioactive ^75^Se atoms were implanted into the ferromagnetic backings by means of a mass separator. The 121–280 keV γ–γ cascade in the decay of ^75^Se was used for the measurements. Values of the magnetic field at As in Fe, Co, and Ni of (318.8 Β± 32.7), (248.9 Β± 27.6), and (87.5 Β± 9.9) kG, respectively, were obtained. The magnetic fields were found to be proportional to the host magnetic moments.
