โฆ Synopsis
The physical principles involved in the acquisition of high magnetic fields sufficient for hyperfine enhanced nuclear magnetic cooling are outlined. A review is given of some of the work done on hyperfine enhanced nuclear cooling, where Praseodymium intermetallic compounds, with hfe factors varying between 8.5 and 22, are used. The possibilities of this form of cooling are discussed.
