✦ Synopsis
A method uas dewloped for rapid measurement of the sit rejcxting characlrristics of hypcrfiltration membranes based on the lheov of concenlrrttion polarization in zm unstirred system. A piston forces solulicn through 3 cylinder (sn sdaptcd one cc tuberculin syringe) sealed at one end by a membrane The transmission rate of lhc membrane and the concentration of the cfi7ucnr are measured and the concentration-!lux curws comparexj sith those computed theoretiully through solution of the time-dependent diffusion equation. Results hat been obtained that agree well with theory and also with other exp=rimenlal obse~alions.
