✦ Synopsis

Abstract

A highly resolved ESR spectrum of dissolved polyphenylacetylene has been measured at 120°C. It was found by simulation that the protons of three phenyl groups and two protons of the carbon chain contribute to the spectrum. The structure of the corresponding paramagnetic centre is given.
