## Abstract To elucidate whether vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) improves stroke‐induced striatal neurogenesis, we intraventricularly injected human VEGF~165~‐expressive plasmid (phVEGF) mixed with liposome into adult rats after a transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO). The res
