β¦ Synopsis
Two novel rare earth coordination polymers, [La(pydc)
were hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by the elemental analyses, IR spectra and TG analyses. Single crystal X-ray diffractions show that 1 and 2 are isostructural compounds. In the compounds of 1 and 2, the 1D lanthanide helical chains are connected each other by lanthanide binuclear dimer as building blocks to form a novel 3D covalent framework.

The hydrothermal reactions of Ni(II), 1,2,3-benzenetricarboxylic acid (1,2,3-H 3 btc) and 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bpy)/1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane (bpa) yield two layered nickel(II) coordination polymers, 1) and [Ni(ip)(bpa)] (2) (ipοΌisophthalate), respectively. Both complexes are 2-D coordination networ
