✦ Synopsis

The chemistry of the processes of HaS absorption in aqueous hydroxide solutions and in aqueous carbonate-bicarbonate buffer solutions is studied, and theoretical equations for the rate of absorption are derived. Experimental results are in good agreement with theory.
