Abstract

Hydrogen production by partial oxidation and steam reforming (POSR) of n‐octane was investigated over alumina‐supported Ni and Ni‐Pd catalysts. It showed that Ni‐Pd/Al~2~O~3~ had higher activity and hydrogen selectivity than the nickel catalyst under the experimental conditions, which indicated Ni‐Pd/Al~2~O~3~ could be an effective catalyst for the production of hydrogen from hydrocarbons.

Highly dispersed Ni catalysts on spherical SiO 2 were prepared by simple impregnation of Ni(acac Pulse adsorption of H 2 and TEM analysis results confirmed that Ni was dispersed very well on the surface of SiO 2 even after calcination (4 h) and reduction (1 h) at high temperature of 800 ℃. These hi
