Pulse technique was proposed in this paper to study the characteristics of three kinds coal-char combustion with high partial pressure of oxygen under the temperature of 1273±1573 K to simulate the process of coal combustion with pure oxygen. Oxygen or the mixture of nitrogen and oxygen was taken as
