โœฆ Synopsis

This book provides as complete as possible coverage of the subject of hydrodynamics applied to structures.

The book's approach has particular advantages for designers. Each chapter is written so that it helps the reader to understand basic principles while at the same time giving the designer enough information for his or her design. Thus, results are given with derivations, and applications are also discussed with the aid of numerous examples. This allows the reader to be aware of the advantages and limitations of the methods involved.

The book has two main purposes. It can be used as a textbook, both in undergraduate and in graduate studies, for students majoring
in offshore and ocean engineering. And it can be used by design and applications engineers involved in offshore structure design to reference directly the final results, including various useful tables and illustrations, without going through detailed derivations.
