Hydrocephalus in the newborn is frequently seen associated with perinatal asphyxia, birth trauma, or intracranial hemorrhage. Hydrocephalus produces enlargement of the cerebral ventricles and raised intracranial pressure secondary to increases in the amount of cerebrospinal fluid. In this study the
