✦ Synopsis

Dry municipal solid waste (MSW) samples were compacted in Plexiglas columns to densities of 160, 320 and 480 kg m-~. The columns were set-up as constant head permeameters. Water flowed continuously through the columns under hydraulic gradients of 2-4"0 m m -1. Hydraulic conductivities were calculated according to Darcy's equation. Hydraulic conductivity was found to be time-dependent. The temporal variation was attributed to varying degrees of saturation due to gas formation and relative movement of fine particles in the columns. The average hydraulic conductivities at 160, 320 and 480 kg m --~ were 9"6Γ— 10 -2, 7.3x 10 -4 and 4"7Γ— 10 -5 cm s i, respectively.

Results from a 3-year experiment carried out to detect the consequences of using municipal solid waste compost (MSW) in agriculture are reported. To assess the persistence of its effects in time, the compost was spread only in the first year. In particular, the effect of the compost upon top soil co

## Abstract The pyrolysis of tetra pack in nitrogen was investigated with a thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) reaction system. The pyrolysis kinetics experiments for the tetra pack and its main components (kraft paper and low‐density poly(ethene) (LDPE)) were carried out at heating rates (Ξ²) of 5.2,
