## Abstract Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are known to possess anti‐inflammatory properties. Inflammatory processes, including astrocytic activation, are implicated in the pathogenesis of different neurodegenerative diseases. Our recent study has indicated that interferon (IFN)‐γ‐induced astrocytic
