β¦ Synopsis
As the new hue estimation experiments described in a previous article 1) show a very poor agreement with former theories, a new representation of the experimental results, which is based on the theory of projective pencils of lines is given. In the first approximation the,,centres of these pencils are situated ill the colour points of the illuminants, in the second approximation, taking into account the incompleteness of the chromatic adaptation, for incandescent light the centre has been shiited. The projective pencils are related to the theory of projective transformation of the whole mixture diagram as indicated by N o t e b o o m and Str/Sble.
