โœฆ Synopsis

Cubobgdrstc chains of glycopmteins are extremely varied and are involved in a wide variety of different bblogkd proeceses. Determination of their structures is therefore of great interest in both research and clinical &Ida HPLC bas pmved to be the ideal tool for mono-and oligosacchride purification and analysis.

A wide range of rrdsorbent and solvent systems are available and we describe in this mini-review the main methods used for the separation and detection of oligasaccharides.

Protein and lipid glycosylation can be said to be at the very heart of immunology. The first line defense of the innate immune system is based on recognition of carbohydrates. The acute phase response and classical, immunoglobulin regulated, immunity are mediated by glycoproteins and some of the ear
