The objective of part I of this series is to highlight the major problems and considerations related to possiblr applications of HPLC to phospholipid analysis. Problems related to phospholipid HPLC are identified and discussed and the relevant literature is reviewed. Different HPLC separation systems and detection systems are desciibed, incl. their relative merits and possible pitfalls.
