✦ Synopsis

Having an article appear in a refereed journal can be a most satisfying experience. Counselor Education and Supervision has a subscription of approximately 4.000. and thousands of nonsubscribers access the articles in libraries and through computer databases. Being published in the journal is the single best way of conveying information and ideas to professional colleagues. Unfortunately. as editor. I can only publish approximately 30 articles per year in the journal. The journal receives over 200 manuscripts per year; therefore. the rejection rate is around 85%. Many manuscripts that I have had to reject during the past 2 years possibly could have been published if the authors had followed some basic gutdellnes.
