Abstract
Congress passed the USA PATRIOT Act to combat terrorist money laundering. But the law isn't confined just
to banks, say the attorney authors of this article. Many types of U.S. companies can be affected. However, many
companies—both domestic and foreign—are reluctant to reveal security breaches or questionable
transactions, fearing public disclosure. Are these fears justified? And what about the USA PATRIOT Act's
