β¦ Synopsis
It's 1958 and Rock & Roll is in full swing. Five friends are tested as they start a band in the tumultuous time of clashing societal forces, cultural unrest, and the resulting rise of artists like Elvis and Chuck Berry.
The Hound Dogs spend their time plucking strings for fun in Stuβs momβs basement, but itβs only a matter of time before some of the members begin to have higher ambitions for the band. John, Stu, Jerry, and Patrick question each otherβs motives, some doubting if they can reach the height of Rock & Roll stardom together.
With tensions rising, and the bandmates moving in different directions, The Hound Dogs end up with a surprise gig in front of a big audience β one they are not nearly prepared to play. Faced with the possibility of total failure on stage, they enlist the help of Danny Bruer, a talented new guitar player.
However, Danny, whose guitar skills are unparalleled, is recruited by The Dice β a major band with a major ego problem, and they want something the Hound Dogs have, and theyβll do whatever it takes to get it.
When the two bands go head-to-head, will the Hound Dogsβ friendship and love for music be enough to hold them together when the battle of the bands begins?
