Tuberculosis (TB) is a rare, but potentially fatal complication of anorexia nervosa. Recent concerns regarding the increasing incidence of tuberculosis, with increasing treatment resistance, is worrying for practitioners working with potentially immunocompromised patients. We report on three cases of hospitalized anorexics diagnosed withΓuntreatedΓTB following admission for treatment of their anorexia nervosa. Presenting features, course of treatment, treatment outcome and implications are discussed.
