The status of theory and experiment of vapor condensation in the supersaturated state is reviewed. The emphasis lies on condensation of one or two vapors by homogeneous nucleation in the absence of aerosols or surfaces. Current experimental methods including gasdynamic techniques are described and typical results are given.
