β¦ Synopsis
Holograms are recorded and restored in a resonant ring cavity. The experimental data shows enhanced diffraction efficiencies off the holograms. To maintain the optical resonance of the cavity during writing or reading the hologram we propose discrete resonance ring cavity system. The experimental data is compared with those of the conventional system with no cavity resonance.

## Abstract A multiwavelength source incorporating a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) and a erbiumβdoped fiber amplifier (EDFA) in a ringβcavity configuration was demonstrated. The multiwavelength source was able to generate more than 13 channels at β27 dBm and above at a SOA bias current of 3
