1987 marks the two-hundredth anniversary, i.e., the bicentennial, of the signing of the US Constitution. In addition, 1987 marks the fiftieth anniversary, i.e., the golden anniversary, of the American Society for Information Science (ASIS). Of course, the Journal of the American Society for information Science (JASIS) plans to play its part in the grand celebrations.
