Abstract
A rarely occurring type of hindered rotation was observed by ^1^H NMR in some Nβ(2,2,2βtrichlorocarboethoxy)nortropanes. A complete lineshape analysis gave the activation energy E~a~ = 56.9 kJ mol^β1^ for the rotation around the CH~2~Oο£ΏCO bond.
