Dual-phase oscillations are observed in Belousov-Zhabotinsky system with 4hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde (vanillin) as the substrate and manganous sulphate or ammonium Ce(IV) sulphate as the catalyst. The nonoscillatory period of time between the two phases decreases with increase in the concentratio
