✦ Synopsis

The Ka Band Utilization Conference is aimed at publicizing all aspects of satellite activities at frequencies of Ka Band and beyond and is organized by the Istituto Internazionale delle Comunicazioni (IIC), Genova, Italy.

The Fourth annual conference was held at the Hotel des Bains at the Lido of Venice on 2}4 November 1998, and was attended by over two hundred participants representing 19 countries.

This year, 79 papers in 13 sessions covered the areas of systems, experimental results, propagation, architectures and protocols, ground systems, deep space, component development and regulatory and market issues.
