Abstract

At the third Meeting of ABCD, over 60 UK Diabetologists heard Professor Liam Donaldson, Chief Medical Officer at the Department of Health, talk about Clinical Governance in the context of diabetes care. In addition to reports on specific ABCD affairs, delegates participated in a debate on the role of reducing insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes and listened to state‐of‐the‐art lectures on new therapies for diabetes, the genetics of diabetes and osteoporosis.
