โฆ Synopsis
An improved method for evaluating the mixed-mode stress intensity factor (SIF) around a crack-tip is developed considering the first four terms of the Muskhelishvili complex potential. Since the present approach provides a better approximation of the caustics method engendered by large initial curves (LIC), it is suitable for problems of plasticity and elastic anisotropy.
