โฆ Synopsis
Vacuum News evaporated without breaking the vacuum or changing the measuring probe. The short distance between source and substrate allows very high deposition rates, eg 200 A -1 for AI. Thus 24, 2 in, diam substrates can be hot coated with 1 ~Lm AI or AISi in less than 3 min. Other applications are possible, since the first working chamber can be equipped with a sputtering device while the second working chamber can be equipped with an electron beam gun.

Hastings vacuum gauge, model NV-100
The Hastings Vacuum Gauge, Model NV-100, is announced by Teledyne Hastings-Raydist of Hampton, Virginia, U.S.A. This new, unique compact instrument has a range of 0.1 to 100 torr. It operates on the Hastings' heated thermopile principle with noble metal sensing elements that are not affected by oxidation, which ensures stable calibration indefinitely.
The instrument has all circuitry contained on the back of the meter and is readily installed on the user's system panel.
A 0-1 V dc output signal is available as an option, and accessories include extension cables up to 50 ft, quick connect couplings, and drop-out traps.
