✦ Synopsis

The thermal stabflity of "Saffil" fibre and "Saffil" fibre doped with additives (La, Ce, Si) has been investrgated. After heating the fibre to 1370K, up to 59% loss in surface area was observed. Addition of the additives did not signrficantly decrease the area loss.
