β¦ Synopsis
A new stannosilicate Cs 2 SnSi 3 O 9 has been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and solid-state NMR spectroscopy. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P2 1 2 1 2 1 (No. 19) with a ΒΌ 7:9612Γ°7Γ ( A; b ΒΌ 10:3444Γ°9Γ ( A; c ΒΌ 11:780Γ°1Γ ( A; V ΒΌ 970:1Γ°3Γ ( A 3
; and Z ΒΌ 4 with R 1 ΒΌ 0:0189: The structure consists of helical silicate chains with a period of six tetrahedra which are connected by SnO 6 octahedra to form a 3D framework containing 6-ring and 7-ring channels where the Cs + cations reside. This work is one of the few studies concerning the synthesis of stannosilicates under high-temperature and highpressure hydrothermal conditions.
