In this report we describe the coating of deionized glass surfaces with commercially available CH,O-terminated diphenyl-dimethylpolysiloxane (PS-OSO).This newtype of reactive, high temperature stable stationary phases withstands temperatures up to 430°C.As already reported for OH-terminated polymers

✦ Synopsis
As enantioselectivity, as expressed by the separation factor a , is not dependent on the applied voltage ( a = 1.02 k 0.005 for the phosphate), Chirasil-Dex columns are preferentially operated at high voltages.
4 Conclusion
To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time it has been shown that enantiomer separation may be achieved by electrochromatography employing a wall-coated chiral stationary phase. Further investigations will be directed toward testing Chirasil-Dex over a wider range of pH values and varying the polysiloxane backbone, as well as the nature of the cyclodextrin.
